Kia ora koutou permaculture whānau,
Organisation of this year’s Hui is both busy and exciting with so many amazing speakers and facilitators signing up to share their knowledge.
We have been exploring ways to make attendance at the hui as easy as possible and you will read below about some of the ways we are looking to make the event more accessible. Ticket sales will close on November 1, 2024 so make sure you have this in mind if you are considering coming as that is less than 40 days to get involved.
Discounted tickets for paid Permaculture in New Zealand members are still available for now, but you need to get in quick! Renew your membership and secure those tickets before they are gone as ticket numbers are limited.
We provided a link to some affordable accommodation options for ticket holders and this information is available on the Hui website.
This event focuses heavily on connection and reconnection (people care) and we are organising sessions specifically with this focus so that we can facilitate the building of connections between participants within and across regions so that we can all leave the event feeling like we have more to give as we head back to our communities.
There is also an added bonus for anyone attending the hui or able to travel to Taranaki in November and you are thinking about teaching permaculture and want to ensure that your teaching is as effective as possible. For the first time in seven years in Aotearoa, a Permaculture Teacher Training is being offered immediately after the National Permaculture Hui in Taranaki. This training is relevant for those who have limited or no experience, through to seasoned educators who are wanting to create even more impactful learning experiences. Whether you are wanting to teach a Permaculture Design Certification or a backyard workshop this training will help you in your professional development as a permaculture educator. Secure your place today and reinvigorate your teaching style.
