Lead Facilitator: Leo Gedye
Leo Gedye is the Infrastructure Coordinator at Pīwaiwaka Farm, specialicing in biological systems and land design. Since 2021, he has managed the perennial systems and led educational programs at the Farm. Leo is a previous Council member of Permaculture in New Zealand and completed a research project on Aotearoa’s food systems at Otago Polytechnic. He will be supported by experienced permaculturists and educators at the farm.
Camping at Pīwaiwaka Farm
The Camp is based at Pīwaiwaka farm: a 72ha forest-farm on the banks of the Whanganui River. This diverse ecological playground features wetlands, regenerating forests, springs, and permaculture food systems which act as outdoor classrooms. Our rustic wilderness campsite includes tents, farm-sourced kai, hot showers and compost toilets. We’ll provide more info about our facilities and what gear you will need via email to ticket holders
