Easy On-Farm Composting
Join us for an informative visit to two farms practising different methods to improve their soil using biochar, The first tour is of the Newman Farm outside Kaukapapa, the second is the Graingers Banana Swale farm outside Waitoki. Both are looking at how to improve their soil for food production and climate change resilience. We’ll be looking at easy ways to make large amounts of compost with and without farm machinery. For those Permies living north of Auckland there may be opportunities to join the City to Farm Project and accept food scraps for composting.
