Volunteer Roles through our Subcommittee Groups

The subcommittees' have been created for the carrying out of work toward the goals of the Permaculture in New Zealand Council (PiNZ Council) where this work exceeds the capacity of the PiNZ Council members.


Each Specific Subcommittee will have its own goals, initially articulated in the Subcommittee Formation Template and stated in the specific subcommittee “Rolling Register”
 

 


 Finance Group:

Funding Coordinator

PiNZ Sub-Group: Finance Team

PiNZ is seeking someone with Xero accounting software experience for managing the bookkeeping with a commitment for 2 years. This role is designed to further build the financial systems and processes to maintain robustness and transparency.

If you:

  • Have experience with Xero accounting system
  • Have reconciled bank statements, creating budgets, and tracking expenses
  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • Enjoy being part of a collaborative team maintaining a functional financial system that supports its membership
  • Are passionate!

Then we would love to hear from you about joining the Finance Team. You will be contributing to creating an effective financial platform that supports collaboration between Permaculturists in Aotearoa.   

            

PiNZ is seeking someone with national funding application experience for the development of a funding scheme (both inward and outward) and a commitment of 2-year involvement. This role is designed to further build the financial systems and processes, maintain robustness/transparency, and support the development of the organisation and its members.

If you:

  • Have experience with funding applications on a national and/or local level
  • Have relationships with funders, sponsors, and investors
  • Financial management experience.
  • Enjoy being part of a collaborative team maintaining a functional financial system to support the organisation and its membership
  • Are passionate!

PiNZ Web Designer

PiNZ Sub-Group: Website Team

Hours per month: 20hrs

PiNZ Web Database

PiNZ Sub-Group: Website Team

Hours per month: 15hrs

Reciprocation: Koha

PiNZ is seeking someone with slick Web Design skills to make the permaculture.org.nz website beautiful and highly functional. 

If you:

  • Have experience with CiviCRM and Drupal;
  • Have database management experience;
  • Graphic and web design experience;
  • Enjoy creating functional web systems that support Membership and collaboration;
  • Are passionate!

Then we would love to hear from you about joining the Website Team. You will be contributing to creating an effective and easy-to-use web platform that supports collaboration between Permaculturists in Aotearoa.

Content Generator

Are you keen to gather and share stories, resources and media content from within the Permaculture community? PiNZ is looking for a few people to generate content for the PiNZ website. 

 If you:

  • Enjoy communicating with Permies around Aotearoa;
  • Enjoy sharing stories!
  • Can contribute regular content on the PiNZ website and/or newsletter;
  • Can gather a diversity of content around particular times (eg. for the quarterly newsletter);
  • Are a budding writer, photographer, digital storyteller;

Then we would love to hear from you. You will be contributing to creating an engaging and educational online presence that supports Permaculturists in Aotearoa.

PiNZ is seeking someone who can collaborate to produce regular, diverse, standardised Facebook posts which are 50% Māori or indigenous related content and 50% non-māori/ non-indigenous.

If you:

  • Have experience creating interesting and relevant content that covers permie profiles, book reviews, evocative permaculture questions, creative interpretations/ translations of the permaculture ethics and principles etc.
  • Enjoy providing diverse perspectives, broadening discussions and monitoring the outcomes
  • Can channel people to the PiNZ website
