Gardening Through the Seasons and Seed Saving

This one-day workshop is part of a series of practical sessions linked to the Matakana Modular PDC presented by Trish Allen and Guenther Andraschko with special guest tutors. Anyone is welcome to attend the Practical Workshop days to gain hands-on skills related to permaculture practices.

The Gardening through the Seasons & Seed Saving Workshop is presented by guest tutor and master gardener, Judy Keats from Kelmarna Community City Gardens.

Judy will cover soil fertility, crop planning, companion planting and crop rotation. Everything you need to know to build confidence in your growing skills.

Also included in this practical session is the collection of seed, processing of seed and methods for storing seed. Once a seed saver, you can enjoy growing your favourite varieties year after year, for free, and make the most of sharing with your friends.

About the tutor:
Judy Keats is a Master Gardener, Educator, Production Manager of Kelmarna City Farm and Compost Collective Facilitator with 10 years organic growing experience establishing and managing community gardens. Judy brings her permaculture systems thinking and practical knowledge to our PDC.
