Tapu Te Ranga Marae fire great loss.
I'm saddened by the loss of the amazing building we were hosted in for our National Hui in 2014.

It was such an achievement of community driven recycling culminating in a beautiful asset. Bruce Stewart welcomed many including us into this space personally from his wheel-chair, telling stories of the building's making.
While sorry that a firefighter was injured, I'm glad that the 19 fire appliances that attended managed to save the meeting house and that all the occupants escaped unharmed.
I look forward to hearing about the trusts plans to rebuild and hope they consider sustainable practices as Bruce did. In what way can the Permaculture community contribute?
